Politely Informed

I tried, tried, and tried to get the battery bar (long thing on the left) to stretch the entire vertical length of the homescreen but I couldn’t get it to work. I finally broke down and switched to multiple widgets and just trial-and-error’ed until it looked right. The transparent section is the current battery level.

The icons to the right of the screen are from Slidescreen. Each icon is actually a folder.

The background is a standard wallpaper that comes in the Galaxy Nexus.

Also? I didn’t realize how much I used Minimalistic Text for this setup until I started tagging apps…

I love it! I’ve been looking for inspiration for my main screen, so guess who’s copying your style :)

Can u explain how to get the vertical line on the left side? I couldn’t find any vertical line at the minimalistic text app. Thx

@palina It took a lot of trial and error, honestly. The original instructions I used are here: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=19302403&postcount=49673

I wanted something vertical rather than horizontal, though.. I used the provided font and used vertical widgets (1×5, for example). I actually had to use more than one widget to make it stretch the vertical length of my screen.

I’ll try to get around to making a small tutorial soon.

@palina Okay, so I decided to go ahead and do this before it got shuffled to the bottom of my to-do list.
First, you will need the font in the XDA link above. This font is VITAL.
Next, you need to download these two Minimalistic Text Widget Preferences: 1. http://goo.gl/YaCS6 and 2. http://goo.gl/TfO93
Finally, you need to create the actual widgets. I used two (1×5) widgets and overlapped them. For the first (top) widget, use the FIRST mtpref. This is the 60-90%. I did not include 100% because it will never go above 100% (in other words, it tops out at 99%). Place the widget where you would like. Then you’ll need to add the second part of the widget (the second mtpref) and stretch the two widgets to connect together…
