Steps:
1. Make 4 wallpapers for LEFT, HOME, RIGHT and LOCKSCREEN like these: https://dl.dropbox.com/u/12923162/Themes/SIDE-TRAY/walls.zip
If you want to use own wallpaper, I have also made 4 walls with only the layers but no background.

2. on the phone, clear your homescreen and make some changes in Nova settings.
a. 7×7 grid size
b. Width and Height margin set to “None”
c. 3 homescreens
d. Scroll effect set to “Accordion” (Prime only) or “None” (free version); Wallpaper scrolling “ON”
e. Check the boxes of “resize all widgets” and “widget overlap”
f. hide dock and notification bar. Set scroll and animation speed to “Faster than light”
3. Back to home, apply 3 walls (LEFT, HOME, RIGHT) to home using Multipicture live wallpaper. In MLP settings, set transition type to “None”, unchecked “double tap to change pic” and pic change interval to “never”.
4. add apps icons to the 1st column of HOME (count from left). Also add same apps icons to 6th column of LEFT screen. Then change their looks to my roundtransparent icons here: https://dl.dropbox.com/u/12923162/Themes/SIDE-TRAY/RoundTransparent.zip
Add flipboard and minimal reader widgets to LEFT; UCCW clock to HOME; another UCCW to RIGHT screen.

5. Lockscreen. Go to Widgetlocker settings, change custom wall to LOCKSCREEN, Background tint to transparent, Layout grid size to 7×7, Hide Notification bar and label.
Back to lockscreen, add this UCCW https://dl.dropbox.com/u/12923162/Themes/SIDE-TRAY/lsclock.uzip in the middle of the frame.

@amiel1080p I only made 7 icons as shown in the screen and you should be able to set grid size to 7×7 with Nova.
yup i did set it, i think my phone is to big,, im on s3..

Just wanted to share that with the new Icon Set Builder on XDA, you can easily recreate these icons and make your own. I’ve tried it myself and its pretty easy, just takes some tweaking.

@AT428HK thanks Alex I got it all working now. for some reason my UCCW app wasn’t seeing the napoleon font so I had to create a folder on my sd card called fonts and then I was able to switch the fonts of each individual part of the widget. loving the look of this. thanks again!
I am trying to do this on my HTC one X but it does not line up correctly. I have followed all the instructions. I know the screen size is probably different but the resolution is the same. Any advice?

I have customized it to my own likes, and though it’s a petty that there are only a few icons I like them a lot.
There is one problem for me though, the custom images in the Locker UCCW (message, phone etc.) don’t seem to be working for me. Any idea why?
Thanks for posting the tutorial! Love the side -tray template, I’ve modded it so that it’s not cropped when the notification bar is made visible. Very refreshing from the standard horizontal dock, etc.

@supersonicej8 you are welcome! you are right, uccw can only display fonts where stored in a folder called ‘fonts’ in the root directory of sdcard.
@02cspearson you have a draw another wall that fit your screen.
@Bureauwlamp put this set of icons in your phone then go to locker UCCW settings replace those images.

@jrl1088 You have to use the blank walls he posted here, and add the wallpapers in an editing program like Photoshop. It doesn’t work like that directly on your phone.

can someone please do a tutorial with talking and explaining on how to put this in so it works properly. Ive searched everywhere on the internet for a video, written some kind of tutorial and there is none. I’m new at this kind of stuff and I think it would be nice if people could be a lil more descriptive on how to apply these themes or maybe if you guys had a seperate area for beginners on how you would do it, that would be great. I’ve been trying to figure this out for days and not being able to do it just makes me not want to mess with this kinda stuff at all.

dude, i got 2 problems. 1st: my phone doesn’t lock anymore, when i press the home button it goes directly to home screen and not in the locker(i tried widgetlocker and go locker but both failed) 2nd: the minimal reader doesn’t show anything.
@miztapet 1.maybe you should “enable” widgetlocker as lockscreen.
2. have to connect mnml reader to your google reader account.
hi, i edited the blank files to have best fit on galaxy s2 (just some little things to have centered icons and aligned widget on s2 screen). To use with nova, 7×7 grid size and “SIWS icon set by at428hk”. if you think it can be useful for others, then add this zip to description.
