Probably one of the starkest screens I’ve done. Just a little fun with the logo of my favorite superhero :)

Love it. Can you share the wallpapers?

  6. Posted 2012/08/08 at 12:38 am | Permalink

@jobe1785 Actually, there are no wallpapers involved, haha. It’s just a random bat graphic I found on the internet on a white background :)

  7. Posted 2012/08/08 at 12:56 am | Permalink

Oh, I see. Could you share the bar graphic? Sorry to bother so much.

  8. Posted 2012/08/08 at 1:00 am | Permalink

@jobe1785 no, no, it’s fine. someone on xda was kind enough to share the graphic, so it’s hosted on their dropbox: https://www.dropbox.com/s/gn2z4h24mrrotsw/dark%20knight%20icon.png

So how did you manage to make the bat tap-able? It’s an interesting concept if it actually works like the graphic makes you assume.

  11. Posted 2012/08/08 at 5:43 am | Permalink

    Epic!

  12. Posted 2012/08/08 at 5:53 am | Permalink

    @A_Random_screenShot thanks :)
@eindbaas i don’t know what you’re assuming, but if you tap the bat on the first screen, it looks like it opens up a floating panel with the icons etc, while the bat and the time fade into the background. i achieved this by using the bat as a screen shortcut in apex, so, with the right transition effect, it looks like a smooth, native pop up.

    can you share the fonts??

  14. Posted 2012/08/08 at 11:59 am | Permalink

@doublejbs i’m only using one on the screens, agency fb

  15. Posted 2012/08/08 at 9:17 pm | Permalink

Do you have a wicked animation after tapping the bat into the homescreen?

  16. Posted 2012/08/08 at 11:30 pm | Permalink

@Rofro96 haha, no, sorry, it’s just a regular animation, since i’m using apex

First, this is so nice, truly.

Next, did you apply the bat symbol as the wallpaper and there is an invisible icon over it? Or is the icon replaced by the bat symbol? Im operating under the assumption that you have to screens, use MP live wallpaper to change between a dark icon and lighter one or something. Sorry about asking, I know it should be obvious but I’m going full derp on this.

@pleasenomore it’s embedded in the wall with an invisible icon over it. i do in fact have 2 screens, the second screen simply has a lighter icon and time on it, so that it gives the effect of fading out. no problem ;)

do you think i could have that wallpaper in your lockscreen?(:

  20. Posted 2012/08/17 at 4:55 pm | Permalink

Hey! I’m really new to android and really liked your theme! If it’s not to much trouble could you post a guide on how you do this or a download link. Thanks in advance!

@absolutevodka it’s not a wall, i just slapped a bat graphic onto a white png
@riceroll sure, i can give you a quick guide. a lot of info is already posted above, so i’ll quote:
the bat graphic is embedded in the wall with an invisible icon over it. i do in fact have 2 screens, the second screen simply has a lighter icon and time on it, so that it gives the effect of fading out.
the clock and misc. info is all minimalistic text, you just have to align it properly; the same with the missedit widget on the 2nd screen. the icons are embedded into the wall in photoshop, then aligned with blank active pngs on my phone.
