    SO COOL! what launcher is it? really can’t tell from such an extraordinary screen.

    @AT428HK Haha, thanks! It’s SSLauncher, like the usual

    great screen niikk. you mentioned in another post when i asked a question that you modify your screens using a software program. are you a mac guy? if so, i just purchased a 27 inch imac. are there programs that come bundled with this mac, or can you suggest some free programs i can fish for online to play with my homescreens?

  8. Posted 2012/08/10 at 10:56 pm | Permalink

    @bill11222 Thanks! Yeah I don’t use any mac apps. Apple doesn’t really bundle anything useful into the mac / imac. So you gotta buy third party apps. I bought photoshop and that’s the only program I use for this. I basically only use my mac for photoshop and for internet ;)

    only 3 days with my new mac. i do like the digital color meter. are there different versions of photoshop, and if so, which one would you suggest? i’m a newbie to design so thanks for your patience :D

    whoa! just looked at the CS6 program…$699 US! could you recommend a starter kit for a newbie looking for basic design tools?

  11. Posted 2012/08/11 at 2:37 am | Permalink

    @xNiikk oh crap. WOW!

    Also, just had this conversation on one of my screens, try GIMP & Inkscape. Free, open-source, multiplatform.

    Gimp is the photoshop equivalent while inkscape is for creating vector images.

    Also, gimp opens photoshop documents just fine so you don’t have to worry about that.

  12. Posted 2012/08/11 at 2:43 am | Permalink

    @bill11222 No no don’t worry ;) Yeah there are versions up to Photoshop 6 which is the new one that came out recently. I’ve tried it, it’s great but I’m still gonna stick to Photoshop CS5. So I suggest that one.

  13. Posted 2012/08/11 at 2:44 am | Permalink

    @bill11222 Well yeah, I purchased it for a whole lot cheaper since I’m a student. You get student pricing. Another program which quite a lot of people use is a free program called GIMP. But I don’t really like GIMP, especially in wallpaper design and stuff, to me, GIMP is more like a tool to make single graphics like UI or icons.

  14. Posted 2012/08/11 at 2:46 am | Permalink

    @User_Error Yeah as said. I really don’t like GIMP or Inkscape, Photoshop all the way! haha but it’s up to everyone else ;) I’m very specific about it, even if something doesn’t work, I start being skeptical. I don’t even like to use photoshop on windows because it just can’t scroll in when you scroll on your mouse, it takes too much time therefore I don’t like it so haha.

    i’ll check out gimp. thanks niikk

    @bill11222 Haha thank you very much! I do appreciate it. & yes, I save up that money to buy a tablet so I can expand my icon support and distribute my works for tablet people. I do love ramen noodles, they’re awesome!
