Pie UI Revisited*
Date Added: Thursday, August 30th, 2012 at 7:39 am

I missed using Pie UI, but it was a little dated for me. So I did some graphical updates, and honestly I think this certain update works very well to my taste.

Files are now ready//

Someone should write a Pie UI Launcher app, so people don’t have to fiddle with numerous layers in Photoshop to get things to the way they want it.
But anyways, I really like this iteration of the UI. It looks really nice. Good job!

@uhh186 I agree completely, i’ll have to find a programmer to do that though, lol we can share profit LOL

This is even better than your original if that’s possible! Would you possibly share the wallpaper and widgets?

  8. Posted 2012/08/30 at 10:22 am | Permalink

@spickett123 I will get it ready and upload later tonight :)

  9. Posted 2012/08/30 at 10:24 am | Permalink

  15. Posted 2012/08/30 at 7:38 pm | Permalink

I like it, not sure if I like it more than your original concept though.

You need to make some custom navbar icons to go along with it ;)

  16. Posted 2012/08/30 at 10:17 pm | Permalink

    What’s the grid layout?

  17. Posted 2012/08/30 at 10:27 pm | Permalink

Congratulation, this screen has been selected as Screen of the Day 30/08/12

Not only have you done an excellent job in this design, you’ve also been very considerate in easily sharing all the ingredients. I wish every pick of the day was so generous!

  19. Posted 2012/08/30 at 11:17 pm | Permalink

    @RikNik @phoenixwave @SpArkLeS @Peachanan @toekneebullard Thanks all! grid is 7×7 as usual with a dock enabled

Looks great! I couldn’t seem to get anything lined up just right but I’m used to it on my Sensation. Good job with the design!

  22. Posted 2012/08/31 at 3:51 am | Permalink

@DSaif thx! @shidoshax I think sensation has a different dimensions, so you gotta tweak the photoshop file for that to be fixed :)

  23. Posted 2012/08/31 at 3:52 am | Permalink

    Beautifully Refreshing! <3

    I love it!

  28. Posted 2012/08/31 at 7:36 pm | Permalink

F**k i taught the original Pie Ui was awesome but this is insane!
Why aren’t you using four icons down in the dock?

  29. Posted 2012/08/31 at 8:58 pm | Permalink

i didnt get weather icons inside the zip file

  30. Posted 2012/08/31 at 10:24 pm | Permalink

I love this, it’s so beautiful!! Question, what does the second icon in the first switchpro widget display? (the one that looks like the number of bars)

  31. Posted 2012/09/01 at 10:31 am | Permalink

what does hitting the red button suppose to do?! also there is nothing in the weather folder

  32. Posted 2012/09/01 at 11:53 pm | Permalink

Damn google sut down their weather api so the weather will not work anymore in UCCW

  33. Posted 2012/09/02 at 3:45 pm | Permalink

Hey, i’m sorry to sound nooby, but I’m new to this, I downloaded the zip, but I don’t get how to get that pie in the center or the battery and stuff. I’m really confused. Could anyone help me out? Either email me the[email protected], or on twitter, @theDroidfanatic, or here, thanks a Lot! :D

PS: I think I got UCCW working though….

  34. Posted 2012/09/02 at 5:49 pm | Permalink

@theDroidfanatic no the weather wont work because no other application can access the google weather wich uccw is based on
For doing the pie ui you will first have to set the wallpaper then add the unread counters by uccw.
for the icons in the dock you hold them and then you choose replace icon with the transparent one included in the zip.
so the appicon itself is transparent but you see the background.
Here video tutorial for the original pie ui

  35. Posted 2012/09/02 at 10:21 pm | Permalink

    i really love your PIE-UI.
i modified your UI because i missed notifications for missed calls, messages and mails, so added those to my blue version.
But i like the way you included those in your new PIE UI… really wonderful.

I really think you should make a customizable PIE UI-Launcher. I would love paying such a launcher ;)

  36. Posted 2012/09/02 at 10:38 pm | Permalink

Amazing work. I’m having some issues with the uccw calls, text and mail counters. I can’t align them n the center of the wallpaper “boxes”. I have SGS2 and have chosen 7×7 nova launcher layout.

  37. Posted 2012/09/03 at 12:57 am | Permalink

you can manual move them around through UCCW with the arrow cursor.

  38. Posted 2012/09/03 at 1:19 am | Permalink

Thanks for that, this is the first time I’m using uccw. Now the texts count falls out of the widget, the right number is cut in half. Anyway to sort this out?

  39. Posted 2012/09/03 at 5:57 am | Permalink

Will there be a lock screen for this?

  40. Posted 2012/09/03 at 9:26 am | Permalink

    Love this new Pie-UI…!
Sadly, the weather folder for the UCCW elements are missing all the images.
Could we kindly get a new zip file with the weather images included?

  41. Posted 2012/09/03 at 5:21 pm | Permalink

does resizing the widget work? i think that fixed it for me when i had that problem.

  42. Posted 2012/09/03 at 9:27 pm | Permalink

    Beautiful as always !

  43. Posted 2012/09/03 at 11:07 pm | Permalink

  48. Posted 2012/09/10 at 4:11 am | Permalink

The weather icon doesn’t seem to work on my s3.. whenever i open the weather, nothing shows up but the transparent background. Am I missing something? Great work, by the way!

Thank you for the awsome theme. Ported ist to Nexus 7 with some modification:

  57. Posted 2012/12/20 at 3:10 pm | Permalink

Can you give me the wallpaper without the text and tell me what font you used? I don’t really want a calender or a weather graph (and I don’t have an office) so i want to change those

  58. Posted 2012/12/25 at 8:22 am | Permalink

@Colorfulvisuals do you have this wallpaper to suit the Nexus 4? When I try to theme my Nexus 4, the wallpaper ends up cutting off the top. Please advise. Thanks!

  59. Posted 2013/01/02 at 1:13 am | Permalink

has anyone made a dark pie UI for nexus 4? i tried following wicked’s video but the wallpaper just wouldn’t work with the hidden icons (alignments were way off)
