This theme is using the same method as my previous ‘Swiping Cards’.
The keys of this sort of screens are:
make the wallpaper not scrolling
overlapping widgets (prime only)
use UCCW as background of widgets
Special thanks to @xNiikk and @mathewrice (Colorfulvisuals) for the inspiration of layout design.
Nova Prime settings:
Desktop –
7×7 grid
set ‘none’ for both width and height margin
no search bar
4 homescreens
‘Cube’ scroll effect…of course
Check infinite scroll, resize widgets, widget overlap and overlap when placing
Drawer – up to you doesn’t affect the setup
Dock –
Enable dock
None width margin
Medium dock height
hide divider and shadow
Look and feel –
hide notification bar

Each surface of cube has 2 to 3 individual uccw widgets and all the weather information is FAKE and static. It’s because I can’t get weather work even I have latest version of UCCW. Please change it back to real info by yourself if it works on your device.

Is the swiping of the center screen only available in apex launcher?or can u do it with other launchers?bcoz i have gingerbread nd have tried many launchers but the whole wallpaper moves(swipes) ….btw awesome work =]

Just a small favor of you’re not to busy; I prefer using apex over nova, and I know many people have already bought the paid apex app, so could you make a version for it with the small modifications that need to be done?I have to admit I tried doing it myself but failed miserably. Thank you do much

@JYFlyBird it should work on paranoid phone because it has a bottom status bar which is like the navbar on nexus. Music widget is phantom music control paid version.

@ALEX T. I love your theme!! Regarding UCCW weather, after you install the latest version (2.0.6?) you have to add a couple of new icons to your weather icon set in order for some of the new conditions to show up.

@mjeezy3947 font is Roboto Thin. Thought it might have been on a hunch and it was.
i have everything ready to use this on my hTC sensation, i’m so excited! but, some uzips seem to be corrupted or something. when trying to import them in UCCW it keeps loading endlessly, and when i try to rename them to .zip to take out the files individually, it says the file is corrupt….any help for this great work of art? :)

I’m having the same problem as Arabology. I can’t import those 3 uzip files. Also, should all the icons on the left side of the cube be present in the uccw widgets? If so, they aren’t showing up for me either.

I have just one more question heh. The Camera/Gallery and Text/Phone things are part of the wallpaper. How do you make them functional?
@jjjnmk What i did is use desktop visualizer. its an app. you launch it, pick the app you want it to launch and then pick the icon you want it to have. you have to use an invisible icon so that way when you place it over whatever you want it to launch it lines up and looks pretty. Or just use nova launchers built in feature. Long press the icon, click edit, click the icon, click you preferred way of sorting thru pictures and navigate to the invisible icon. The invis icon is what you need but i think a quick google search will be able to help with that. place it somewhere that it wont take a long time to navigate to

Hey Alex, I have what is likely to be the silliest question you’ve received, but how do I actually make the widgets “do” anything?
What I mean is, whenever I try to select or use any of the widgets, it just takes me back into UCCW for the settings for that widget. The widgets are also unable to rotate as well. Any step I’m missing?
P.S I don’t suppose their is any kind of guide or video tutorial for this, is there? I tried to search for one before posting this, but I did not find anything.
Alright, I got my first issue figured out, I had left UCCW in edit mode. >.<
However, now I'm only able to get the email/browser widget to work. Now if I try something else, like weather or music, the widget turns into a white box and doesn't launch anything. The email/browser widget launchs both Gmail and Chrome just fine. Any ideas what I might be doing wrong? The scrolling feature of the widgets seems to still be non-functional as well.
EDIT: Alright, not sure what resolved that it, but the widgets simply started working as normal, as far the white box issue goes. I am unable to get the rotating down it seems.
Alex, I actually really dig your homescreen on your phone, would it be possible to upload those widgets you already have made for us to use? Thanks!
to make the widgets “do” what you want, choose the the Hotspots in the “Select Object” and edit that up.
@Requisition rss reader, music player and toggles are individual widgets not made by UCCW.
amazing theme, i envy your creativity! i think a video should be made with a step by step process im just too noob for this, i got everything on my phone but once i try to put the uzip files i cant get them to fit correctly there’s a big gap between the gallery and the clock, can anyone help with this please?
Going to recreate this on my SGSII. I have been having problems with UCCW weather too, no idea what’s up.
Edit: Oh right, the wallpaper. Only works with Galaxy Nexus I guess? Or would there be an easy way to scale it to Galaxy S2? Since I don’t get around the cropping menu at all. FIXED (kinda)

@kazlow I got it to work on the GS3, you have to change the desktop height to medium rather than none, but the only thing is there’s still a small space between the two elements in the green homescreen
Also, how do you get the gmail unread info to show up? having a hard time finding out that setting
