  24. Posted 2012/09/30 at 3:18 am | Permalink

    NIce set up!
How do you change the live wallpaper background by tapping the icons???

  25. Posted 2012/09/30 at 4:30 am | Permalink

Sicycle. If you have s3 you need to resize a bit. topbar 966×164 , transparent 957×161 , main bar 479×324. That works for me. But i don`t know how he makes the sosial part with touch om the icons.

  26. Posted 2012/09/30 at 7:04 am | Permalink

And share the google search at dock bar. Pluss rest of the icons there :) Tnx:)

  27. Posted 2012/09/30 at 9:53 am | Permalink

i think the touch icon effect change color is on the launcher action. first screen icon with blue color the rest black. if you press the second icon itll turn blue because its another screen. and he change the color scheme of the icon.

@ALEX T. I love it! Were you planning on making a version that fits your Galaxy Nexus too? Do you happen to know what would I resize the UCCW backgrounds to in order to make them fit?

  44. Posted 2012/10/03 at 5:11 am | Permalink

@SpArkLeS thanks for the detailed guide on this awesome work by Alex T.

  45. Posted 2012/10/03 at 8:17 am | Permalink

Love your theme. Quick question: How do you disable to scrolling effect when scrolling between windows? For example, when I press the calendar button, I can see the screen scrolling animation. When it reaches the calendar screen there’s a little bounce a the right before it stops.

Is there anyway to disable this effect and make it as smooth as in your video?

Edit: Nevermind I fixed it. For those wondering how: Go to Homescreen settings in Apex, Disable Elastic Scrolling and set Minimum scrolling time to 1.

  46. Posted 2012/10/03 at 9:09 am | Permalink

Tnx dhkx. that was the only part i miss:)

  47. Posted 2012/10/03 at 9:42 am | Permalink

Thanks Alex for this awesome setup. The only problem I’m having is that I can’t seem to resize so that there are no gaps on my htc sensation screen. Any help would be appreciated.

  48. Posted 2012/10/03 at 3:52 pm | Permalink

@all already uploaded tutorial video here! hope it can help!

  49. Posted 2012/10/03 at 4:03 pm | Permalink

@MissRis5 have to find out the exact uccw dimensions with corresponding grid size, it seems every device is different!
I only know Nexus and GS3.
    @dhkx exactly!
@SpArkLeS Thank you very much! appreciate it!
@spickett123 check my previous livewindow for nexus. There are some uccw sizes.
@elboco Thanks she is alright now. She had some asthma symptoms.

  51. Posted 2012/10/03 at 5:01 pm | Permalink

Hehe no problem, I just thought, now that I finally get it, I’ll try to write it down :)
Thank you for the awesome design.

Question, if I were to change the color scheme how would I be able to change the color of the icons?

  52. Posted 2012/10/03 at 7:09 pm | Permalink

Another question: How did you customize the status bar?

  53. Posted 2012/10/03 at 9:11 pm | Permalink

Can somebody share size settings for every uccw widget for GNex? I’ve tried also customized size but for me doesn’t fit good.

  54. Posted 2012/10/03 at 9:17 pm | Permalink

Thanks mate for awesome design! Im using it now and it’s really great, to bad the SGS3 only have 1GB ram….

  55. Posted 2012/10/03 at 9:31 pm | Permalink

    好正啊! thank for 提供 uccw.uzip

  56. Posted 2012/10/04 at 6:29 am | Permalink

@AT428HK Hi Alex. Could you help me with the dimensions of UCCW for the Nexus? :3

  57. Posted 2012/10/04 at 12:29 pm | Permalink

that’s awesome wish i could come up with something completely beautiful as this.

  58. Posted 2012/10/04 at 1:52 pm | Permalink

@SpArkLeS how you change color scheme?
    @dhkx AOKP rom feature.
@lindman77 yes sometimes I feel laggy too…now reduced to only 3 screens (main, rss and calendar)
    @sampong8 you are welcome!
@Aureaule @DariosF on Gnex, based on BBB’s advises, you can only do it with 7 rows x 5 columns grids screen. uccw sizes are 5×1 dimension 735×165 as top bar; 5×3 dimension 472×318 as big tile in the bottom and leave middle 5×3 space blank as ‘window’.

  59. Posted 2012/10/04 at 2:35 pm | Permalink

@AT428HK Thanks for your help, but I was wondering is 5×3 a pro version of UCCW? I dont seem to have it.

  60. Posted 2012/10/04 at 2:41 pm | Permalink

    @Aureaule resize it to 5×3 i mean.

  61. Posted 2012/10/04 at 5:04 pm | Permalink

I realized that after but then mycolorscreen stopped working :/
    Thanks a bunch! :)!!

  62. Posted 2012/10/04 at 9:10 pm | Permalink

Thanks Alex for your help, but for me that values don’t work. This is the best setting that i can be found on paranoid rom.

  63. Posted 2012/10/04 at 9:35 pm | Permalink

@DariosF paranoid is unique especially in tablet mode, change lcd density back to default 320 i guess it will be ok.

  64. Posted 2012/10/04 at 9:43 pm | Permalink

I’ve already tried alex. Also in stock ui with your apex settings (7×5) doesn’t fit good.

  65. Posted 2012/10/04 at 9:50 pm | Permalink

@DariosF have you set all margin to none, dock as overlay and show status bar?

  66. Posted 2012/10/05 at 1:34 am | Permalink

@AT428HK Yes, of course. Do you have a Sakura-mint camera icon?

  67. Posted 2012/10/05 at 3:03 am | Permalink

Hey, sometimes the other widgets like Minimal Reader and Calender goes behind the UCCW widgets. Is there anyway to fix this?

  68. Posted 2012/10/05 at 9:01 am | Permalink

@dhkx lock desktop once you finished the setup. Sometimes widgets go behind uccw after playing video. Just restart apex it will back to normal.

  69. Posted 2012/10/05 at 1:29 pm | Permalink

Hi Alex, yr theme is very nice, im using Samsung S3, everything is ok except the dock part, I cant seem to fit, its either a small gap at the bottom or the dock icons cant align properly into the white bar…do you know whats the problem?

  70. Posted 2012/10/05 at 2:05 pm | Permalink

@JK123 Show status bar don’t hide. Make sure to follow all my apex settings.
for the icons alignment problem, you can adjust the position or height of the white bar in uccw. When I made this uccw, I put icons on the dock first then adjusted the bar to fit them. Also set vertical and horizontal margins to none in dock settings.

  71. Posted 2012/10/05 at 2:20 pm | Permalink

@JK123 Just saw previous conversation by @elboco
He said “If you have s3 you need to resize a bit. topbar 966×164 , transparent 957×161 , main bar 479×324. ”
Try his method. But it’s so weird as these dimension won’t work on my s3. My dimensions are top bar 965×165 and big tile 475×324.

  72. Posted 2012/10/05 at 3:28 pm | Permalink

I adjusted the position of the white bar like you said, I thought there wont be any adjustment needed following your video. Thanks you!

  73. Posted 2012/10/05 at 4:14 pm | Permalink

Great, great skin mate! did anybody try to port it to sgsii?

  74. Posted 2012/10/05 at 9:02 pm | Permalink

    Hey Alex,
thanx for another great inspiration. ;D

Here is my version based on your work:

    Cheerz ^__°

  76. Posted 2012/10/05 at 11:44 pm | Permalink

@sipher6 very hard to find out the exact value! keep trying! cheer!
@d0pecr4wler look pretty cool! it seems no live wallpaper used right? Then you don’t need uccw as widgets background…just embed all layers like top bar, grey background and white dock on the original wall. It saves ram!

  77. Posted 2012/10/08 at 9:41 pm | Permalink

    beautifoul screen :)

  78. Posted 2012/10/11 at 6:19 pm | Permalink

Love how you have the widgets blend in with the live wallpaper. I own a Galaxy Note, do I have to resize, if so, how?

  79. Posted 2012/10/11 at 6:29 pm | Permalink

@happietrader you gotta find the best dimensions of uccw in order to cover part of livewall with no gaps, not a easy job.

  80. Posted 2012/10/17 at 11:58 pm | Permalink

Hi Alex, first of all kudos for this awesome work!
Question- can i use Nova prime launcher instead of Apex with the exactly same settings you have mentioned in the description to replicate this?

  81. Posted 2012/10/27 at 1:54 pm | Permalink

What would be optimal settings for a tablet with this?

  82. Posted 2012/11/01 at 12:30 am | Permalink

Does anyone know the dimensions for resizing the uccw widgets for a galaxy nexus? They don’t cover the edges on my phone

hey please help me i am using note tried it bt in uccw widgets when i tried to change height it change the width vise a versa and weather icon does not appear

  91. Posted 2013/07/06 at 3:06 pm | Permalink

I absolutely love your theme and have been using it seamlessly on my SGS3, however I just received an HTC One and for the life of me I can’t get the UCCW widgets to fit to the bottom of the screen, there is always a small bar of empty space below the dock.. is this something done in an apex launcher update or is it device specific? Any input would be greatly appreciated.

  92. Posted 2013/07/26 at 12:08 pm | Permalink

Can we get a source on the icons? I’d love to change the Twitter one to G+
