there is no sdcard/data/com.teslacoilsw.launcher/backup folder on my htc sensation xl. Do you know where i can find it?

  • http://mycolorscreen.com/balducien balducien

@dennism1997 just create it and you’ll most likely see Youhome in the Backup&Import -> Restore section of Nova. If the Backups are stored at another path, you can see it in this screen too, just put my backup there.
Something else: you could get problems with the wallpaper not fitting, coz your 800×480 is not the same aspect ratio as my 960×540…

Tutorial

  1. 1. Download all the apps on the right of the screenshot.
  2. 2. Change wallpaper, text labels, and apps to your liking using an image editor.
  3. 3. The backup files need to be on the phone's SD card: the location of the .uzip doesn't matter...
  4. 4. ... the .novabackup goes in sdcard/data/com.teslacoilsw.launcher/backup and the .mtpref in sdcard/MinimalisticTextPreferences.
  5. 5. In Nova, go to settings -> Backup & Import -> Restore -> YouHome.
  6. 6. The like-dislike-bar is actually a battery widget and can be reproduced with UCCW
  7. 7. Did I forget something?
  8. 10. And in UCCW, tap "Open .uzip" and select the BatteryLikeBar.uzip.
  9. 11. Here you go! Comment if you have problems or questions and have fun!

I just needed to get rid of just changing the icons and adding widgets… So here is the result: A homescreen looking and behaving exactly the same as the (previous version) Youtube App!

… Sorry for the tutorial not explaining every single step, I think most of us know those things. If you don’t, feel free to leave a comment and ask!

Mycolorscreen is messing around with the step by step tutorial, so I write it here again:
1. Download all the apps on the right of the screenshot.
2. Also download the files from https://www.dropbox.com/sh/z33yvtd6lbj6gjd/fFONTlrY_i
3. The backup files need to be on the phone’s SD card: the location of the .uzip doesn’t matter…
4. … the .novabackup goes in sdcard/data/com.teslacoilsw.launcher/backup and the .mtpref in sdcard/MinimalisticTextPreferences.
5. In Nova, go to settings -> Backup & Import -> Restore -> YouHome.
6. Go to Wallpaper -> MultiPicture LWP -> Settings and apply the wallpapers in the dropbox folder for screen 1, 2, and 3.
7. To setup the widgets, just tap on them and re-create them manually. In Desktop Visualizer, just use the blank.png instead of a real icon.
8. The battery bar and minimalistic text widgets can be restored from the backup files on the dropbox folder.
9. In MinimalisticText, scroll down, hit Restore and select “YouHome”.
10. And in UCCW, tap “Open .uzip” and select the BatteryLikeBar.uzip.
11. Here you go! Comment if you have problems or questions and have fun!
