Pure. Just played with shapes and textures and the result is here. Zoom! Wall, uccw skins and indicators:
Apex grid: 9×7
Apex settings (pro): no margins, dock and statusbar are disabled, one screen non-scrolling wallpaper (use Quickpic) and overlapping widgets.
Both uccw widgets are 3×3, needed to be resized to fit correctly. Ask if something isn’t clear.
Video tutorial (thanks to MarcoJHB!):
Buttons base are made by using this:

    Simply WOW :-P
Only thing that doesn’t sit right with me is the cursive font on the buttons… Seems somewhat out of place…
Regardless though, this shot demands praise.
    Well done!

I hate to be THAT guy, but you should really be giving credit for this work to the original designer. It is your layout, but it makes high use of his assets. He took the time to upload the PSD to Dribble, but he expects at least a reference to his work when you use it. Not to mention its just proper manners to do so.

  21. Posted 2012/11/21 at 9:15 am | Permalink

wow amazing and nice setup bro :)

  22. Posted 2012/11/21 at 11:46 am | Permalink

@ritalin …I see, high use. Partly the button style, but what else? Do you think it’s the same? Ok, let it be even if I didn’t remember where it had been dowloaded at (sometimes get some inspirational stuff). But I could tell you how people use and sell (!) my work as their own, but what can I do…

  23. Posted 2012/11/21 at 11:49 am | Permalink

    @thomp89 thank you.

@garyarts Hey man this is incredible, like wow!! I know I asked this last time but is it ok if I made a video tutorial of this screen? I’m still planning on that other one but this one is trending and it would pump views :)

  25. Posted 2012/11/21 at 2:28 pm | Permalink

@MarcoJHB if you think so, let it be:-) Just link me the chanel when ready please. Thanks

  26. Posted 2012/11/21 at 8:52 pm | Permalink

Im not trying to start a fight with you, far from it. Its just that you make mention of giving credit to you, for another user about another project, and then dont give credit here.
With that said, yes this would be high use of his assets in this project as its nothing more than his assets on a background with a few additions from UCCW. Not that shocking really, due to the minimal nature of the layout.

Im just saying, you are not the only one that browses Dribble for inspiration, and its not that hard to do a search of the PSD name in Google to find the original designer. Hell I even provided you the link and you still dont give a shout out.

The fact that people do the same to you, should not be an excuse for you to do it as well. In fact it should be quite the opposite.

Have a good one mate, and try not to be so uptight the next time someone simply reminds you not to forget to give credit. That someone might just do the same for your work.

  27. Posted 2012/11/21 at 9:04 pm | Permalink

@ritalin before mention and mention again try to check description first, where I link that very design. If you think this is the same and ‘nothing more’ with a ‘few additional’ you don’t know what you’re really talking. Do this! You can make it, just one or two click and done. Leave me alone.. I just spent hours to design the other parts in Ps and more on my device. I tell you what I really think these kind of comments. People like you just keep talking about the same, but it has an original design at least. This site is full with copied copies of a copy of an old copy of something. Nobody cares about this, mr justice, I don’t feel like doing these kind of explainations anyway

  28. Posted 2012/11/21 at 9:53 pm | Permalink

My Bad, before I made the comment I did check you post and didnt see the reference. Not sure if I overlooked it or if I just failed to refresh the page, lack of coffee can cause memory loss.

Is there some reason you a being a complete twat towards me? I did nothing but remind you to reference source material and politely at that. I never claimed this was a 2 click process to create your layout, but that’s a nice straw man for a retort to what I did say. There would not have been another reply, if your first would have been along the lines of “Oh shit, thanks for the reminder.”.

I could go on here, but you are acting childish over something you really should not be, so Ill end this conversation.

  29. Posted 2012/11/21 at 10:01 pm | Permalink

@ritalin ‘Is there some reason you a being a complete twat towards me?’ am I? is there? childish? well, you just claimed this is nothing more than a complate copy. This is what I didn’t like. That’s all. I did you want to see and had two reasons I hadn’t done it before: didn’t remember where I found it (as I mention) and I didn’t feel my design complately the same.

  30. Posted 2012/11/22 at 2:00 am | Permalink

Can we stop this? It looks as though this is a case of text not conveying thought and or context properly.

I never said or implied that your layout was a complete copy. I stated that because of its minimal nature, his assets play a big role, thats it. This is to say your layout is comprised of your background, his assets, a cute font, and some standard UCCW bits.

  31. Posted 2012/11/22 at 2:06 am | Permalink

@ritalin ok, but you the one who started to write this screen down (my favorite part: ‘nothing more’)… what more do you want? I linked what you want. That standard uccw bits took me a lot of time, like the bg, to create the pattern I want. But I can understand this means nothing for you and you’re right, better stop than sorry. No need to appreciate my work, you’ve already done your job.

  32. Posted 2012/11/22 at 12:28 pm | Permalink

I had a pretty long comment here for you, but Ill just say that I think you are angry you got called out. Thats it for me, Im done bumping this layout up.

  33. Posted 2012/11/22 at 1:16 pm | Permalink

@garyarts Hey man, just letting you I’ve created a tutorial for your video :) Here is the link:
I hope you like it, and ya, if you unhappy with it I can take it down for you…
Haha if you do like I’d be happy to create many more for you…

  34. Posted 2012/11/22 at 2:43 pm | Permalink

@ritalin I think you expect me to say sorry for something I didn’t do. This is why I’m angry.

  35. Posted 2012/11/22 at 2:49 pm | Permalink

@MarcoJHB thanks, quite good, I have only thing to mention about it. Indicators are added as an Apex feature to jump to another screen and placed closer to buttons (as in the picture here). But thanks for support, may I will send screencast videos taken by me:-)

  36. Posted 2012/11/22 at 3:17 pm | Permalink

@garyarts Ah sorry about that :( what I can do is resubmit the video if you want? Didn’t know if you wanted the indicators to do anything, won’t happen again…
Edit: I’ve noted the changes in the video as well as description.. I hope you’ll let me still produce tutorials for your screens as you have one of the best talents for producing screens on MCS…

  37. Posted 2012/11/22 at 3:24 pm | Permalink

@MarcoJHB no problem at all, I never mentioned it. You don’t need change video, but if you would mention it:-)
