Alex – we need to collaborate on something man. Your use of UCCW and the effects that you can achieve are simply amazing. Combine that skill set with what I think I can provide with graphic design and we should knock something out that is AWESOME. :)

Nice work all the same – classy and simple = I like it.

  14. Posted 2012/12/19 at 5:47 am | Permalink

Awesome concept, trying it out now, however I can’t seem to figure out your grid size or even how to put apps on top of the UCCW.

  15. Posted 2012/12/19 at 6:35 am | Permalink

This is amazing, going to try this out for sure!

  16. Posted 2012/12/19 at 7:53 am | Permalink

Figured it out (at least this is an option that aligns perfectly for me):
    *Apex Launcher
    *Grid = 9 x 9
    *Horizontal margin = Medium
    *Vertical margin = None
    *Elastic scrolling = enabled
    *Hide dock
    *Hide notification bar
    *No scrolling wallpaper
    *Transition Effect = Flip
    *Resize uccw widget as necessary
*Overlap Widgets (first laydown apps, then resize widget over them and “send it to back”)

  17. Posted 2012/12/19 at 9:45 am | Permalink

I cant find the “Transition Effect = Flip” in my Apex Launcher.

And plz tell us how to send the UCCW widgets to back :)

  18. Posted 2012/12/19 at 2:37 pm | Permalink

Homescreen settings -> Transition effect -> Flip

First, make sure Overlapping Widgets is enabled under Advanced. Then, as I said, first lay down app (icons) on homescreen. Then, lay down (a small version) of the uccw widget. Then, resize this uccw widget accordingly. If widget hides icons (by being in front of them), press and hold widget, and select ‘send to back’. You may not have to do this as it my be in the back behind the apps in the first place.

If you’re having trouble finding this stuff, you probably need the paid version of Apex

Can’t wait for the DIY! I’ve got ideas already of how I can implement this amazing effect.

Thanks for the guide in creating this – stay tuned for what I’m going to “attempt” to do with your awesome idea! :)

  27. Posted 2012/12/22 at 12:01 pm | Permalink

Say, what is the image dimension that you use in UCCW background?
I’m curious since the background limit is 160000

  28. Posted 2012/12/22 at 12:17 pm | Permalink

@chaoticz you have to resize it. check out my guide or youtube tutorial made by Marco. find video in mycolorscreen you tube channel.

  29. Posted 2012/12/22 at 1:51 pm | Permalink

@AT428HK I mean, I want to know your actual background dimension in UCCW. Because when I saw your UCCW after resizing it, seems like the background not become pixelate or in low resolution.
If you know what I mean, hehe….

It happens to me when I make a 400×400 background for UCCW, and then I full resize it. The background become pixelate and looks bad

  30. Posted 2012/12/22 at 2:06 pm | Permalink

    @chaoticz it’s 270×450

  31. Posted 2012/12/22 at 5:25 pm | Permalink

Yeah this theme is awesome. Now I only need a lockscreen that matches with this theme. Anyone got an idea???? Plz help!

  42. Posted 2013/01/02 at 8:53 am | Permalink
  43. Posted 2013/01/02 at 8:57 am | Permalink

for a lock screen you could use widget locker. set wallpaper to what your background image is. and use an element thats simple like the uccw clock above whatever locker/slider you choose. it will match well enough. thats what i did.

  44. Posted 2013/01/04 at 8:39 am | Permalink

@Sash27 i used widgetlocker, beautiful widgets, custom slider from xda, fixed clock and simple text to make one. pic is below!

  46. Posted 2013/01/04 at 4:28 pm | Permalink

@supersonicej8 i dont use widgetlocker but just keep it stock. your method is still a good solution.

Can’t download any of the dropbox links!
If you get too many downloads using dropbox public links they shut them down.
