    great tiles screen!
and new version of nova has bigger grid size, it helps to make more tiles in one screen.

Love the look of this, totally changes up the phone…the only downside is I don’t know what I’m doing wrong here, but I can’t get that tight fit on my tiles, they all have spacing between them. Watched the video, showed me how to setup the Visual Desktop, but even after matching my launcher to the ascribed settings, still gaps….any advice? Tried both the apex launcher and the nova pro, both are giving me the same issue….I am on a SGSIII, but I don’t see where that would make a dif…

very cool, i have a galaxy nexus and actually got this set up on there…took a little bit of work but i love the outcome. only wish there was a twitter tile instead of vevo or flipboard, but i digress. how did you put this wallpaper together anyway? i could probably photoshop a twitter logo in there and remove something i don’t want if i could find one that looked good enough.

I am missing something I got all the Nova requirements and I downloaded Desktop Virtualizer and have downloaded icon packs. I’m not understanding how do I get the icon packs in the picture above?

  24. Posted 2013/01/07 at 10:42 am | Permalink

@Mcmex You dont need any icon packs.Place your desktop visualizer widgets on homescreen & make their icons transparent.
    Here the transparent (blank) icon:

@semati Thank you so much I did not get that it was a wallpaper background with invisible widgets. Awesome what a great concept now I just alter the wallpaper and have a lot of choice for a great look. But the weather is a real widget correct?

    Thanks for your help Semati…..

  49. Posted 2013/01/10 at 5:48 am | Permalink

    Hi Semati,
I had a couple of questions. How do you split the jpg into links. I can only see the option in desktop visualizr for an icon not an image map of sorts..

I was just wondering what dimensions is the clock widget in uccw widget and also what box size it is.. ie in uccw under aspect ratio it defaults to 400 x 400 and with the uccw grid widget is it 2 x 4 or 3×4?

Thanks so much the skin is excellent.. can you customise the grid and margin on each home screen in nova?

  50. Posted 2013/01/10 at 4:17 pm | Permalink

    @Llewellyn1 You are welcome!

  51. Posted 2013/01/10 at 4:24 pm | Permalink

@thomen Hi thomen..I split them by photoshop and use a transparent icon for homescreen shortcut.Time and weather uccw widget is 4×2.

  52. Posted 2013/01/11 at 3:14 am | Permalink

@semati awesome, thanks so much. love this layout.

to anyone else who is having issues with the bottom of the screen being but off, i simply just pulled the picture up in MS Paint and extended the length to 1480 and filled it in black and that keeps the bottom tiles from getting cut off when you set it as your wallpaper.

  53. Posted 2013/01/21 at 6:55 am | Permalink

@semati Hi, I would love it if you had a step by step tutorial (preferably video tutorial) on how you achieved this. For newbies like me especially. Also when I’m trying to set the wallpaper, the bottom tiles are being cut off. I own a SG Note 2 too. I followed what you said in the description, doesn’t work. Can you please help? A tutotial (step-by-step) would be awesome! Thanks!

Edit – I got it up and running. But while adding uccw to the phone and messages, how do I make it show number of missed calls or unread messages and unread mails on the gmail icon!?

  54. Posted 2013/01/21 at 8:23 am | Permalink

Also for people who are getting the bottom part of the wallpaper cut off, when setting the screen up, click on your menu button from your blank nova screen, choose wallpaper, choose gallery, choose the wallpaper and then set it, this will align your wallpaper perfectly. :).. Dont use the stock launcher to set the wallpaper. If you do, it won’t align properly.
