Why not just use the real PIE?

  31. Posted 2013/02/05 at 1:24 am | Permalink

Hey man, this looks awesome. I actually joined because of it, though I have no doubt I’ll get plenty more out of this place. I am a bit of a newb, so I have a few questions:

    1. Where can I get that wallpaper? It suits the rest of the setup so well, and nothing else I’ve found looks nearly as nice.

    2. How did you get the app drawer icon to appear below the widget? If it’s something I just need to learn and you know a link, that’d be fine.

    3. The calendar app on your dropbox looks slightly different to the one in the image above, and yours seems to really hug the top of the homescreen. I can’t seem to change the position in UCCW, but then again, I am a total newb at this.

Any help is greatly appreciated. Your setup looks REALLY nice, and I totally want all that purdy on my phone.

I was kinda surprised when I came to notice that the time of the pie isn’t adjusting to the 00-24 setting… It stays on 00-12 (am/pm) setting… Could someone help me out because I would rather have it in 24h mode…

@evilrabbit scroll down to the “hour series” and “minute series” you will be able to change preferences in there. I left it modifiable for just this purpose as many of us enjoy options. :)

    @all
As taking emails is a very direct way to source my work, it has become too much work. I opened up a dropbox not long ago https://www.dropbox.com/sh/kbbhip16xep1rlf/0lF_tP7YUd

please help yourself to the files. Right now the wallpaper folder is empty but, will be filled tonight with walls from my posts. Thanks for all you appreciation and interest. Its what keeps me going :)

  41. Posted 2013/02/06 at 1:04 am | Permalink

@Philonous Thank you for your interest and appreciation….I really love seeing all the praise I am getting for this hobby of mine. :)
    To answer your questions:

    1. I recently posted a dropbox on this thread. Should be the post above this one. It will have all the wallpapers and files in one place for. I say it will because I haven’t yet uploaded the wallpapers yet. Tonight probably

    2. I use Nova and Apex launcher, though ADW works as well. These launchers allow you to manually stretch widgets over the drawer. The option is within the launchers preferences under the “Dock” category. Its titled “Dock as Overlay”. So the launcher icon is the only thing in the dock and then I just stretch the widget over it. That make sense?

    3. The reason this hugs the top is because APEX launcher allows the “homescreen grid size” or more commonly known as just “grid size” to stretch the entire part of the screen. I don’t know if it works in Nova but,. in apex it should work just fine with a grid size of 9×10

Try this out and let me know how you did. I would love to answer any more questions you have.

@Hallux (formerly Mike) Thanks so much, that all makes sense! I have Nova Launcher, and all that worked perfectly. I should really have guessed that, to be honest.

I still have one question, though. As I was saying above, the calendar widget in your Dropbox looks different to the one in the image above. The one in the Dropbox has a circle around the calendar icon, whereas the one above just has a vertical line to the right. To be honest I prefer the look of the original above. Is it something I can change, or did you upload a different file to the Dropbox?

And thanks for uploading the wallpaper – I just love the way this homescreen all comes together. A lot of the stuff on MyColorScreen looks cool, but yours really jumped out at me.

  44. Posted 2013/02/06 at 3:45 am | Permalink

@Hallux (formerly Mike) Not to keep hassling you, but I noticed that while the Wallpapers folder does have wallpapers in it now, and was updated an hour ago, but it doesn’t have the one from above. I hate to be a bother, but is there any chance of getting that one uploaded?

  45. Posted 2013/02/06 at 11:45 am | Permalink

    share the wallpaper plz

  46. Posted 2013/02/06 at 6:48 pm | Permalink

@Hallux (formerly Mikey) Awesome, the wallpaper is up!

  47. Posted 2013/02/06 at 7:18 pm | Permalink

@Hallux (formerly Mikey) Unfortunately, the calendar widget uploaded doesn’t really work with it, as parts of it are see-thru, whereas the widget above clearly isn’t. But you’ve been awesome so far, so I’ve no doubt you’ll come THRU for us! See what I did there?

  48. Posted 2013/02/06 at 10:04 pm | Permalink

@Fulgore84 It would be much appreciated if you could upload the calendar uzip :)

  49. Posted 2013/02/07 at 2:34 am | Permalink

@Fulgore84 Agreed, it would be awesome to see this widget in the Dropbox!
