@BadBrad I love your screen, but i seem to be having some trouble opening your uccw-files. Everytime i try to add the widget, i get a “skin deleted” message. Any idea? Everything seems to be in the right folder.

@Peachanan Wow! Thank you so much for Screen of the Day!! I’m honored.

  10. Posted 2013/02/18 at 6:48 pm | Permalink

@Geraudd and@phuncrusher Sorry I am new to exporting UCCW but now that I am looking into it I believe you just need open UCCW then click on the little settings icon in the top right and select “Open/import/manage skins”. Then select “import”. Then if you don’t see the folders select “up”. You should see the file folders. If you don;t then You may have to tap the zip files in your file manager to activate them. Let me know if you have any troubles and I will try to figure it out in more detail.

  11. Posted 2013/02/18 at 7:13 pm | Permalink

@BadBrad unfortunately that’s not gonna work, you can only import uzip-files if i’m not mistaking. I tried what you described and it didn’t work.

Let me know if you’re able to fix it. I would love to use your homescreen.

  12. Posted 2013/02/18 at 7:52 pm | Permalink

    I will check into it.

  13. Posted 2013/02/18 at 8:21 pm | Permalink

Okay I think I have it sorted out now. Re-download my complete zip package here:

Then copy the UltimateCustomClockWidget folder over onto your root folder of your phone. This should hopefully work. If not let me know.

    What’s the calculator widget?

  15. Posted 2013/02/18 at 9:56 pm | Permalink

It’s called Calculator widget 10 themes. Here’s the link to the play store. It’s free.

Thank you @hiztorys I’m not sure why the Simple calendar isn’t showing up. It restored fine when I did it. That is pretty easy to insert. I have updated my zip file here with the header style for Minimalistic text. Not sure how I missed that. Let me know if this helps.

@BadBrad it seems to be working now! Thanks so much1

Excellent. Thanks for your patience. I’m still new to all of this so I am finding my way around.

Hey I’m having a problem with the backup file it doesn’t find it, but in the option after “Restore” called “File Location” it has the right place of where to look. Help?

  20. Posted 2013/02/20 at 9:34 pm | Permalink

Also none of the files show up on zooper widget

  21. Posted 2013/02/20 at 9:50 pm | Permalink

Hi @cman363 . Are you using a Nexus 4? Also you need to make sure you copy the files to the root folder of your phone after unzipping them. The Nova backup should be able to be done from any location as long as you can access the proper folder. On my Nexus 4 the backup location is:
    Nexus 4 | Internal storage | data | com.teslacoilsw.launcher | backup

But if you are on a different device then the folders may be in a different spot. You will have to make sure you look for the Nova and Zooperwidget folders and copy the .novabackup and .zw files into the proper spot. Others have been able to get it to work so I bet it’s probably just the location that the files have been copied to. Let me know how you make out.

Okay I got it working thank god, my problem now is, idk what font you’re using but the date is too big

  23. Posted 2013/02/20 at 11:22 pm | Permalink

Sorry to keep posting new comments but I’m just figuring out these problems as I go haha. The font files don’t work for some reason, it gives an error message

  24. Posted 2013/02/21 at 1:26 am | Permalink

Hey I hear what you are saying @cman363 a lot of things are hard to figure out at first, so not a problem. The fonts need to be installed into your root folder called “fonts” then they should be available in Zooper widget and Minimalistic text etc. The one I have been using is called “Walkway”.

  25. Posted 2013/02/21 at 2:04 am | Permalink

Yeah but they’re in right place and everything is found just fine it just says that using the fonts failed, idk what that’s about. Also could you tell me how to re-size the widgets on the color tiles because I did them wrong and removed the icon now the widget to get a new one is gone. Alsooo how can we change the apps to open for the icons on the bottom? Every single one says app is not installed.

  26. Posted 2013/02/21 at 4:38 am | Permalink

I’m not sure if this is your first theme you’ve applied yet or not. This is a pretty complicated set up so you might want to try a simpler layout first in order to familiarize yourself with Nova launcher and the various widgets first then try this one. Which widget are you having trouble finding fonts for? You can always use the default fonts there are some good options. All widgets can be resized by holding down on the widget and selecting resize.

The apps on the bottom need to be added based on your preference. The ones I am using may not be the ones you want to use. You need to add the apps you like and change the icons according to what you want. If you hold down on the icon you can select delete it and add the ones you like then hold down on it again and select edit to change the icon style you like. I used SMPL light (grey) icons.

    @BadBrad Hey Brad,
First thanks for all this amazing job, by I have a serious concern! When I import holo backup through nova-setting, when I came back to my homescreen all goes well except the calandar which I have just the header and when I type into it, I got a message saying “app isen’t installed”!!!!! Any clue Bro?

  28. Posted 2013/04/23 at 8:51 am | Permalink

@BadBrad Is it possible for you to share the .psd file? Unfortunately it doesn’t quite work the Note 2. I’ll need to move and resize some stuff to make it work.

  29. Posted 2013/04/23 at 11:11 am | Permalink

@zizon65 Did you make sure to install the Simple Calender Widget?

  30. Posted 2013/04/23 at 11:12 am | Permalink

@ekjl Not a problem. Give me a bit to get the file together.

  31. Posted 2013/04/23 at 12:40 pm | Permalink

@ekjl I have uploaded the PSD file for you here:

  32. Posted 2013/04/23 at 9:34 pm | Permalink

    Thanks BadBrad.
I have a question regarding the battery bar. Do you know if it’s possible to make it longer? I fiddled with all the settings inside UCCW and can’t seem to change the height.

  33. Posted 2013/04/23 at 10:34 pm | Permalink

@ekjl Yes this is totally possible. The first thing you need to do is set the new size you want to use for the widget. IE: 1×5. Then once that is created you can either open my batter bar or just make your own. Once you place the widget then you need to go into the settings in UCCW and define how much space the background is going to take within that grid. So you’ll need to play a little bit to make sure that the background fits the grid space. Once the size is big enough then you can increase the size of the battery bar. The crazy part in that you have to change the width to change the height. This is probably because I set it up originally as a horizontal battery bar. You may also need to change the position of the bar once you make it taller in order for it to fit inside the grid space. UCCW is stupid in that it doesn’t show you the grid area as a work space which makes it a bit harder to wok with. But if you play with it for a while you will get the hang of it.

    I hope this helps.
