beautiful homescreens

to build your own
Date Added: Thursday, April 11th, 2013 at 8:31 pm

**This may well be my last screen built on and for the Galaxy SII — Taking delivery of the SIII this weekend, and the SIV in a couple weeks. Stay tuned for themes geared specifically toward these technological monsters! **

All-in-Wonder by Lieutenantsword.
PLEASE ZOOM!!! Video tutorial coming SOON
This theme utilizes LightningLauncher, customized tiles, my WeatherCenter III scenic weather icons,UCCW and a heck of a lot of time trying to figure LightningLauncher out!
The tiles to the right of the phone are pages that are vertical scrollers. Each of the icons in the lower left tile opens a different page. The video tutorial will contain everything you’ll need to create the home page only — the rest will be up to you and your imagination. I’ll include everything, including PSD files, uzips and backgrounds — I’ll be compiling these things over the next couple days, so PLEASE BE PATIENT.
Also, please don’t forget to comment and show some LOVE if you like this screen. Thanks, as always.
UPDATE: Everything you’ll need to create this screen is in this file:
Video tutorial coming SOON. Please stand by!!!

Stunning work! Just when I became comfortable with my take on your tan & taupe screen, you throw this out for me to waste a weekend! How’s the lag? After seeing Marco’s tutorial on the Plus UI, I figured Lightning Launcher would bring my GS2 to a grinding halt; Jelly Bean alone is running nicely on this phone, but it has a big footprint. I am hoping that a more conservative setup can capitalize on Lightning Launcher’s claim for being light on resources, but still provide some vertical scrolling and high definition images (which clearly yours has).

Great job…i’m patience for video tutorial :D

I’ve been taking this one very slowly and deliberately, making sure to measure performance at every page’s beginning and finish. I use a Galaxy S2, and the nice thing is the presence of LL’s function (being the vertical scroll) is minimal, and the wallpaper layout makes for easy integration of ultra-light UCCW and other widgets, as well as functioning as masks for the scrollers at the top and bottom of the pages. One thing I noticed in the Plus UI was what I considered an unnecessary pair of white UCCW blocks, when a single UCCW widget, using functions and set to the top layer worked just fine (for both the top and bottom masks). This is, by far, the most involved and difficult theme I’ve ever worked on, but I have to say, I’m very happy with the results. I’m going for another page today — I’ll keep you posted.

Thanks. May be the weekend before I can get it together, but I’ll get it done. :)

@lieutenantsword How’s it coming along? Not pushing, just curious. Thanks!

  12. Posted 2013/04/15 at 1:57 pm | Permalink

Almost definitely tomorrow afternoon. This is one of those multi-part tutorials, I’m afraid.

@lieutenantsword Thanks for the update! BTW: Miss the old avatar. Can I crib it?

  14. Posted 2013/04/15 at 5:26 pm | Permalink

I’ll look for it on my system at home and send it to you.

@lieutenantsword Much appreciated; let me know if you need my email address or if you still have it.

For me the uccw weather widget is not running. I copied all the files to my SD\ultimatecustomclockwidget/weather. In the uccw settings I can choose the weather files but I only see the white box with the temperature……
What went wrong???? Plz I need help!

  17. Posted 2013/04/16 at 10:10 pm | Permalink

Check your current conditions and make sure something is registering… Not “CC”… You should have two choices from your weather provider settings in UCCW. If one isn’t writing, try the other. I had the same issue on my S2.

Thx for help, this exactly was the problem!! It runs with yahoo weather!!

Lieutenant Sword is ready yuour tutorial ??
I’m looking forward to put your theme on my phone :)

  20. Posted 2013/04/17 at 4:01 pm | Permalink

I second the post by MaGiC69! I’m anxious to put this on my phone! It looks beautiful.
I have all the files waiting but have no earthly idea how to implement them. Bring on the video tutorial!

  21. Posted 2013/04/17 at 4:46 pm | Permalink

You all can check out the latest tutorial from PlusUI. With that you can handle this one here easyli ;-)
I will try to help you out if there are some more questions after that tutorial!!

  22. Posted 2013/04/17 at 4:48 pm | Permalink

    @MaGiC69 @brisseau

I’m making 2 at the same time right now. Sorry, but for some stupid reason, the screen recorder on my phone is making everything in negative colors, which would be fine if I were drunk or high, but unfortunately, I’m neither. :(

Anyway, I am working on them… Thanks for being patient, such as it is.

  23. Posted 2013/04/17 at 4:50 pm | Permalink

True. With the exception of the screen sizes ( I just use the free mode and a couple of UCCW skins for the mask effects), the tutorials are almost identical.

  24. Posted 2013/04/17 at 6:24 pm | Permalink

I started to follow the Plus UI tutorial for this, I’ve got everything down except the page switching. You have the simple page switcher listed, and I can’t seem to figure out how to make that one work with this. I’d prefer to not have to buy the super switcher, so could you possibly just type out a quick explanation of how to use the simple one in this case?

  25. Posted 2013/04/18 at 1:22 am | Permalink

I actually demonstrate it in another tutorial video:

Fast forward to 22:10 — that’s how to do it.

Lieutenant Sword sorry for the inconvenience but how to configure other pages of theme (i.e. social, media ecc.)? No background for other sections? You could add other screenshots please? Thanks :)

  28. Posted 2013/04/18 at 10:45 am | Permalink

The background applies to the other pages as well. There’s no need to set up the background on every page, but you do need to set up the UCCW widgets and tiles on every page.

  29. Posted 2013/04/18 at 3:49 pm | Permalink

For those having trouble with the screen switching.. I believe it is because he actually uses LLW Super Screen Switcher(paid) and not LLW Simple Screen Switcher (free)

  30. Posted 2013/04/18 at 3:53 pm | Permalink

Correct. I don’t mind dropping $1.27 for this kind of versatility and flexibility. :)

  31. Posted 2013/04/18 at 6:53 pm | Permalink

For those of you using LLHome the first time. Setup the first screen with all the settings needed for this style. Save you settings under current Screen “Save to a Style” Name it as you want “AllInWonder” for example. For setting up the next screen you don’t have to do all the settings again. Go to current screen “Load Style” There you load the saved Style from your first Screen!!
Hope I could help someone, and sorry for my bad englisch I am german. ;-)

    Perfect! Thanks for contributing that!

  33. Posted 2013/04/19 at 6:01 am | Permalink

How can i setup for my S3??
    Thank for the contribute!!!

  34. Posted 2013/04/19 at 8:18 am | Permalink

Use the wide wallpaper. If there are still sizing issues with that, let me know and I’ll send you the PSD.

  35. Posted 2013/04/19 at 12:49 pm | Permalink

Lieutenant Sword i’m not able to fit widgets on my S3.
Can you make a wallpaper for my S3?
Another question which grid size i’ve use?

    I’m sorry for the trouble!!!

  36. Posted 2013/04/19 at 1:26 pm | Permalink

No problem. I can resize it for you here in just a little while. Also, use Free Mode. Much easier.

  37. Posted 2013/04/19 at 1:39 pm | Permalink

Ok thank you very much ;)

Thank you!!! Quick question I am using dark wonder but every time i click on a uccw i get the settings instead of the actual app. What am i doing wrong?

  42. Posted 2013/04/22 at 1:21 am | Permalink

Go into UCCW settings and click Hotspot Mode to ON. That’ll lock the widgets and make them usable.

  43. Posted 2013/07/15 at 10:18 pm | Permalink

Do you have a link to the tutorial?

  44. Posted 2013/07/22 at 12:09 am | Permalink

no, I wasn’t able to do one.

  45. Posted 2013/08/22 at 2:42 pm | Permalink

verry verry nice, but not easy to find out how to make it work, icons no idea,
    one idea for you Lieutenant.
just wallpaper and then blank icons og then the widgets on top.

  46. Posted 2013/08/22 at 7:44 pm | Permalink

I usually include the PSD file with the download if anyone wants to modify it.

  47. Posted 2013/12/16 at 10:32 am | Permalink
