Hello, friends! Allow me to introduce Holo Cards. This is a fairly minimal layout inspired heavily by Android’s Holo Light aesthetic, as well as my previous work. I hope you have as much fun viewing and using it as I did creating it.

This tutorial assumes you have a Nexus 4 running a ROM/Mod that allows the software keys to be hidden, such as Expanded Desktop mode provided by Paranoid Android, Xylon, CM 10.1, and many other ROMS. If you plan on trying this on a device with a resolution other than 768×1280, expect to make some tweaks. I use GMD Gestures for navigation. I set my Workspace UI under Paranoid Android Settings to Tablet mode (1000p), and set the User Interface Size to 250 DPI. This was done because the Phone Mode notification panel doesn’t to work with Expanded Desktop enabled, but the Tablet Mode one does. Also, it’s easier to reach the notifications since they pop up from the bottom. I then set up a GMD gesture which pulls up the Notification panel.

Nova Launcher: 12×7 Grid, ‘Small’ Width, ‘None’ Height, untick Show Shadow, ‘None’ Scroll Effect, tick Infinite Scroll, untick Label Icons, tick Widget Overlap and Overlap when placing (these are absolutely CRUCIAL), 1 for Dock Pages, Medium Dock Margin, tick Dock as Overlay, None Folder Background, Stock Scroll Speed. If you can’t get your grid size to reach 12×7, make sure you have the Labs section of Nova Launcher unlocked by long pressing Volume Down while on the Nova Settings page. Under Labs, tick Big Grid Size Options. For anyone who might be interested, I also ticked UI Lock, Widget Image Async List, and Widget Image Cache.

Minimalistic Text: Used to create the titles of the cards, the clock and date, the category titles on Favorite Applications card, and the statistics on the Status and Settings card. For the card titles, place 5×1 widgets on your homescreen, tap the widget to edit it, scroll down to Restore and select the appropriate title for the page (HC_Entertainment for the Entertainment card, etc). The same rule applies for making the category titles for the Favorite Applications card and the statistics on the Status and Settings card. They are called HC_FA_XXX and HC_SS_XXX respectively, where XXX is the title name. In the likely event you want to change the names of any of these, tap on Custom Layout (after you’ve used Restore to load the widget you plan to edit), tap the gray box that says Static Text, then edit the name in the window that pops up. The horizontal line for the Favorite Applications dividers are actually underlined empty spaces – so if you choose to change the name, you may have to add or remove spaces for the divider to retain the proper length. The clock and date are two different widgets – HC_Clock and HC_Date.

Simple Text Icon Creator: Used to create the text icons in the dock. To create the icons, long press the dock shortcuts you made and tap Edit > tap the icon > Icon Pack > Simple Text > home. From this point, edit the title to the appropriate name, then tap the menu icon and hit Save Icon.

Circle Battery Widget: Enable Show Background under the Circle section.

Desktop VisualizeR: Used for the white card backgrounds on all of the homescreens, the page indicator arrow, and the artwork on the Entertainment card. Starting on Page 1 (the leftmost homescreen), Add a 4×4 widget to your homescreen, stretch it to fit the ENTIRE screen, then tap it to edit. Tap Select Icon > Image Files, then choose card1.png. Repeat this for your other homescreens using cardx.png, where x is the number of the homescreen you’re working on. The order is important because these images not only include the card background, but the page indicator arrow as well. For the artwork on the Entertainment page, create a 4×2 widget and use ‘entertainment_art.png’ as the icon. Select None for the Launch action – Unless you actually want one, of course.

Adw Ex after update changed my last set-up so I decided to make something new and use the possibilities given by this launcher.
therefore I created 4 screens with different wallpapers thanks to Multilive wallpaper (or something like that) and I made shortcuts for transitions for each screen. hope you like it ;)

Ok, I am not the original designer of this layout. This is based on the UI of an Iphone app called EasySales. I thought it might make a nice and functional home screen.. So using UCCW, Nova Launcher Prime, Metrostation Icons, Desktop Visualizer and Simple Text (for the shadows since I dont have a a PC or Photoshop) I made a UI similar to EasySales. (:
Nova setup:
-Notification bar hidden (swipe down to reveal)
-Dock hidden (swipe up for app drawer)
-0 margins
-11×10 grid
-Wallpaper scrolling disabled
-Shadows off
-Check resize all widgets
-Check widgets overlap
Desktop visualizer… use it where you feel the need. Just use a blank icon. You can also use uccw hotspots if you prefer.
NOTE: The uzip files I have a link to have no drawables. Just text. This is because I use sslauncher as a canvas for the theme. Then I take a screenshot and use that as a wall on nova launcher. Point being, the widgets are not even close to sized up for nova. Hope that makes sense.

SHORT GUIDE
As usual Nova Launcher 7×7 no Statusbar.
Switchpro Widget first and then Minimalistic text 3×1 then Switchpro again and last is Circle Battery Widget.
Make sure you use 3×3 UCCW then import analogedit.uccw then resize to
3×2 centered on the pie graphics.
I INCLUDED THE PSD SO YOU CAN REPLACE THE PIE LEGENDS :) AND COLORS IF YOU WANT. PLEASE UPLOAD YOUR SCREENS LATER SO I CAN SEE YOURS :)
4×1 then import pie.uccw then resize that to 7×3.
Wallpaper #1 is the ZIP FILE FOR EVERYTHING
Wallpaper #2 is for the softkeys
Wallpaper #3 is only the WALLPAPER

Someone on Reddit had a Portal themed lock screen. I took it one step further.

- The number above the barcode is battery percentage. This is also done with a very small SiMi Clock

-The icons are hard-coded to the wallpaper, then a blank icon is placed over them using Desktop Visualizer to create the links (blank png for icons linked)

I wasn’t completely happy with Tiles 2.1 so I started over. I needed a Play icon so I went for a new grid size as well as added the calendar greatly inspired by http://mycolorscreen.com/2013/01/14/favourites/
The notifications are probably the main reason for starting over. I wanted a lot of info but in a small space that wasn’t overwhelming.

a design brings you the best Apple Mac OS theme! This awesome Mac OS theme gives Android users the possiblity to completely change the way their homescreen looks. Introducing Plus UI, inspired by the Google Plus design. the homescreen utilizes a combination of elements from Lightning Launcher, UCCW, and DVR, to make vertical scrolling happen. Watch the posted video to see the magic happen. This one was developed independently of Bussuf’s Google Plus UI, so I cannot give credit to him. But I do agree that it looks great, good job Bussuf, you beat me to it :)

UPDATE: UCCW WIDGET PROBLEMS. A LOT of people are saying they can’t see the uzips that I have attached. While many of you posted helpful comments as to what they are seeing, I still don’t know why. HOWEVER, I am going to remake them again from scratch and test it out before releasing the new uzips. Hopefully it should fix it. Be patient :)

All visuals done with UCCW. The center picture is the stock Samsung picture frame widget set on 3 second intervals. The date in the calendar icon changes if you wondered why there was no date widget. More details later.
Apps used are UCCW, Nova Launcher Prime and Desktop Visualizer.
Quick tutorial:
-Use 11×10 grid
_no margines
-Hide status bar
-Hide dock
-Lay out all UCCW widgets and adjust accordingly
-Make shortcuts using Desktop Visualizer or set up UCCW hotspots. You will need to use a transparent icon for DV.
-The hard parts will be layering everything properly. Just mess with it. Its like a little puzzle. Even harder yet, for some, will be readjusting the widgets to fit screens that are different than the Note 2.
Note: I use Desktop Visualizer so no hotspots are set up in the uzips.

A simple configuration is entirely made with UCCW skins .. with everything you need. A tribute of images and colors .. I hope you like.
